Edward Klein writes a book of lies about President Obama

From Inquisitor

The Obama divorce story currently circulating the web has caused some confusion and chatter about the state of the President and the First Lady’s marriage- but it appears to go back to a book called The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, which is, not surprisingly, an anti-Obama work.

The Obama divorce story is just one of a few questionable claims made in the book by former New York Times Magazine editor Edward Klein, who also alleged that Michelle Obama is cripplingly jealous of other women, that she feuds with media queen Oprah, and that President Obama and his entourage have “gone to elaborate lengths to hide his dark side.”

A few stories have popped up since the Obama divorce story went viral speculating on the current state of the First Relationship, but it all seems to go back to the original allegations made in the book- namely that the Obamas went through a rough patch twelve years ago and that Michelle considered leaving the man who would later become the most powerful man in the free world.

Even the Amazon description of The Amateur (if the title wasn’t telling enough) seems to indicate that the work alleging the Obama divorce story probably is not a reasoned work of political investigation and rather, a timed hit piece consisting of loosely strung suppositions about the President interspersed with shaky anecdotes. The description promises that the book will reveal:

  • Why the so-called “centrist” Obama is actually in revolt against the values of the society he was elected to lead
  • Why Bill Clinton loathes Barack Obama and tried to get Hillary to run against him in 2012
  • The spiteful rivalry between Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey
  • How Obama split the Kennedy family
  • How Obama has taken more of a personal role in making foreign policy than any president since Richard Nixon—with disastrous results
  • How Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett are the real powers behind the White House throne.
I don't believe this bullshit for a second.

The President and the First Lady probably have had their troubles.  What couple hasn't?  And if they didn't they won't be the first Presidential couple to do so.  Bill and Hillary Clinton's troubles are WELL documented, Laura threatened to leave Dumbya if he didn't quit drinking, St. Ronnie left Jane Wyman for Nancy,  LBJ had lots of women and fathered a son out of wedlock, JFK was a sex addict,  Eisenhower actually asked Harry Truman permission to leave Mamie for his secretary Kaye Summersby at the end of World War 2, Truman told him hell no.  Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt would have divorced if his mother had not intervened, and Harding fathered a daughter out of wedlock.

All the other stuff is bullshit too.  Clinton has praised President Obama on several occasions.

At least the First Couple don't act like this one:

This hit piece is just an act of desperation by the right wing.

  1. These books won't stop because theyre about people with no lives who want to start trouble. In the end, no one cares one way or the other. No one cared about Joe M, no one cares about this bs. People are human, who evolve constantly. To say no one has personal dramas, past or present, would be lying. Personal lives aren't the public's business. Period. I don't care that Michelle likes her alone time at night when she leaves the white house, I don't care that she's friendly with secret service if thats true. I dont care about Ws past issues or Laura's tolerance of it. I don't get a crap about Sarah's life from 25 years ago. And I am far from the only one.

High stakes jobs will cause personal turmoil for families. It will happen. It is not our business with how they handle it.

    1. If you didn't care, you wouldn't be mentioning it in such detail. Interesting how you talk like you are close friends with all these people. LOL

  2. I think it is more, to divert the negative image from the Queen. Each time something appears negative in her life. People try to point it in the other direction. There is envy of the President and FLOTUS relationship. They want a marriage between one man and woman but not in reality. Much of them are unable to have such a life. They want a scandal of other women and men. The Queen is still very much in the picture. I see and sense people around her or their handlers trying to clean her image up. If you look at the story. It is what people have been saying about the Queen and Toady. The little princess, had her say in trying to make the Obama daughters, into a negative.

It's about destroying the image of a strong family with true values. The President's family image really does bother them. Why? because it's an image that they can't produce.

  3. One only has to look at the president and Mrs. Obama together--they can't keep their hands off of each other and exchange loving and humorous glances with each other. I suspect the White House really rocks some nights. They show their love for the girls too. I am very proud of this first family.

    1. I totally agree. The Tundra Turd is so bitter and jealous of the first family that it is destroying her.

  4. This man wrote a book about JFK and Jackie called All Too Human which was voted one of the worst books that year. Total BS. He even portrayed their "Conversation" and how he asked her to dance and she sang a song while they danced. IT was SO absurd. I see he's maintained his "journalistic integrity". The man is a deceitful Hack.

  5. Disappointed with sarahpalinhasaserpentsheart. The comments were interesting on the post "This is child abuse" http://sarahpalinhasaserpentsheart.blogspot.com/2012/05/this-is-child-abuse.html#comment-form

Then sarahpalinhasaserpentsheart switched to this post. Not even 24 hours later.

"This is child abuse" comments were great, again very disappointed with changing so fast.

  6. After the 2004 convention and then Senator Obama's moving and powerful speech, the RNC took notice of this Democratic newbie and the impact he made. They started vetting him right then and there and prior to his announcement that he would be running in '08, there were more than a few Republicans who remarked on how clean Obama's past was. They were upset to hear this, of course, but that wouldn't stop them from manufacturing whatever dirt they wanted on him and on his lovely family.

Despite all the nonsense about President Obama not being vetted, he was thoroughly vetted for the 24 months he ran for President. When the Republicans say he wasn't vetted, what they really are doing is complaining that they couldn't make their claims against him stick, as in the Reverend Wright nonsense or Bill Ayers. Palin hates the fact that he won although she has yet to realize that she was not the one who was running for the Presidency. Remember her remarks about the Palin/McCain campaign? It's because that is how she truly saw it in her sick mind, with her being at the top of the ticket, not McCain. She also wanted the campaign donations split into two separate accounts, one for those who donated because of her and the other for McCain. Of course, Schmidt cleared her of the notion that there was a Palin campaign and she'll never forgive him for not falling at her feet.

  7. AWW, that was Sarah's first photo with a scarf! Probably a week after Bristol gave birth to Trig and they found out he would live so she had to begin her pretend pregnancy. She look's really sad and teary-eyed in that photo, as any woman would having found out that her grandson would survive his very premature birth. I think the date was around Feb 19 2008?

  8. When Obama announced his candidacy in 2007 with the endorsement of Oprah, there was a significant African-American community which decided to go with Oprah; another which concluded that just as Jews would not allow a Jewish President, so they should not allow a Black President.

In the three years of his Presidency, I have received a glimpse into the future. As in ancient Rome, "Generals" (like Haliburton and Black Water) will raise their own armies, Imperialism will dominate the culture, the "Mob" will fixate on sports, guns, Fascism and the suppression of minorities.

Most importantly of all, there has been an unmitigated refusal to accept him as President (He was born on Kenya, He is a Muslim, He apologizes for America, He was not a legitimate recipient of the Nobel Prize. The list goes on). It is as though his Presidency has been a plough which has dug-up (drudged-up?) the issues and emotions we have tried to bury since the Civil Rights Movement.

In 2008, we have had Corsi's The Obama Nation (designed to resonate with Abomination for the Evangelicals), in 2010 we have had Trump and Birtherism as well as Mitch McConnell announcing that the goal of the Republicans was to make Obama a one term President. Wall Street has intentionally crashed the economy while using TARP funds to accumulate a surplus of three trillion dollars.

Now, we have Edward Klein's THE AMATEUR. Obama has in many ways behaved amateurishly by courting Tea Party and other Republicans. Why? Because NOTHING he did or offered would be accepted by them. Rumsfeld said his decision to get Bin Ladin was a 15 minute one with 14 for coffee. It is interesting that for 6 years, that 15 minutes never came for his boss(?). However, whether it was to project strength in the national defense part of his job or to defend the American People does not matter. He did what W could not do in 8 years. He brought an economy, that was much worse than was surmised, back from the brink.

With Romney at the helm and Citizens United manning the canon, Obama's Ship of State is at war with White Men and White Power. We know who the best man is, but will he win? Only if enough good men and women do nothing!

  9. Just for the record: "St.Ronnie," as you so sarcastically spoke of, did NOT leave Jayne Wyman for Nancy. Jayne Wyman left HIM for her career and later when offered a million dollars to write about him refused, saying: "No thanks. What could I say. The man is wonderful." Reagan was broken hearted about the split and later married Nancy. To imply that he left Wyman is a lie, out and out.
